Two Detroit sisters are facing serious felony charges after allegedly stabbing a restaurant worker during a dispute over an incorrect food order, according to prosecutors.

Kierianna Long, 26, and Brianna Long, 29, were charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon following the May 30 incident at a chicken restaurant on East Warren Avenue near Cadieux. Both women have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

According to prosecutors, the attack began shortly after 6 p.m. when the sisters received the wrong food order from a 23-year-old restaurant employee. After the dispute escalated, the women allegedly went behind the counter and began assaulting the worker.

Prosecutors allege the sisters chased the employee throughout the restaurant while throwing various items at her, including pots, pans, and hot grease. During the assault, one of the sisters allegedly threatened, "I'm going to kill you." The employee defended herself by throwing items back at the attackers, including a knife. Prosecutors say the sisters picked up the knife and used it to stab the worker in the stomach.

The victim fled the restaurant and hid inside a stranger's vehicle while calling for help. She was transported to a local hospital where she underwent surgery for her injuries.

The Long sisters allegedly drove away from the scene but were later taken into custody by Detroit police.

During their arraignment in 36th District Court, defense attorneys presented a different version of events. The defense claimed the restaurant worker told the sisters that she didn't "give a f---" about the wrong order and threw items at them first.

Brianna Long, who was nine months pregnant at the time of the incident, gave birth just four days before her court appearance. She pleaded with the judge during the arraignment, stating that she was innocent and had a four-day-old baby at home.

The judge expressed serious concern that a food order error escalated into such a violent assault and set high bond amounts for both women. Kierianna Long was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond, while Brianna Long received a $25,000 cash or surety bond. If either woman posts bond, they are required to wear a GPS tether.

Kierianna Long is specifically accused of stabbing the employee, while Brianna Long is accused of participating in the assault and helping to flee the scene. Both women remain in custody as the case proceeds through the court system.
