Making America Great Again in 2025 – Top 3 Takeaways – January 2nd, 2025

Making America Great Again in 2025 – Top 3 Takeaways – January 2nd, 2025

  1. This is our year. This is our time. If you’ve waited much of your life hoping for fundamental changes within the way our federal government operates, as in having less of it intruding into your life, this is your year. If you’ve been waiting for the death of political correctness and wokeness...this is your year. If you’ve been waiting for a time in which the godless, soulless and slanderous legacy news media would become irrelevant...this is your year...and actually, based on November’s election results, last year was that year although you likely went through most of it frustrated and worried by the extent of the dishonest reporting. You’re now able to enter this year knowing they’re largely irrelevant. If you’ve wanted the rule of law to be upheld, this is your year. If you’ve wanted equal justice under the law, this is your year. If you’ve wanted to seal the border and stop the migrant invasion, this is your year. If you’ve wanted the largest deportation operation in American history to remove the record number of illegal immigrants from this country, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to high inflation and for life to become more affordable again, this is your year. If you’ve wanted to take advantage of US energy resources as opposed to being reliant on foreign sources of energy, this is your year. If you’ve wanted American companies to return manufacturing to the US instead of relying on countries like China, this is your year. If you’ve wanted lower taxes including an end to taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security, this is your year. If you’ve wanted a president who will defend our constitution and our constitutional rights, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to foreign wars and conflicts that entangle and are often paid for by the US, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to the weaponization of the federal government against select groups of people, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to the migrant crime and drug epidemic, this is your year. If you’ve wanted to see safety restored to our large cities, this is your year. If you’ve wanted to see our military rebuilt without wokeness this is your year. If you’ve wanted to see the integrity of the US Dollar preserved around the world, this is your year. If you’ve wanted to see Medicare and Social Security strengthened so that they’re not soon insolvent, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to federal regulations that limit consumer choice and drive-up prices, this is your year. If you want reform in education including the end of funding critical race theory, gender fluidity and like woke agendas through the US Department of Education, this is your year (In fact, if you want the end of the US Department of Education altogether this may be your year...fingers crossed). If you want to end boys pretending to be girls and playing their sports, this is your year. If you’ve wanted an end to antisemitism and related hate being tolerated on college campuses, this is your year. If you want greater federal election integrity measures, this is your year. And if you want the United States to become more prosperous and successful than ever before, this is your year. Now, why have I cited all of those things? Because that’s all in Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Making America Great Again and I believe he’s dead set on making it a reality. I’ve never seen a president-elect work harder than Donald Trump has since winning the election. The man has literally worked every single day – including working on Christmas Day. That’s because he realizes just how important every day is if he’s going to be successful in carrying out his ambitious agenda.
  2. For many of us the incoming Trump administration brings with it the promises that we’ve waited most of our lives to see happen. And importantly, unlike the first time he took office when he was just trying to figure things out at this stage, he plans to, in his words, have his administration fully operational by 2 pm on the 20th. Also, unlike the first time, he’s surrounded himself with people aligned with his and thus your interests in mind... Starting with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy who will soon be on the scene with DOGE. A government department that is without a doubt the most exciting I’ve ever heard of. Most conservatives have been frustrated for years and some for decades about how Republican control of government has seemingly at best only slowed down the erosion of what made and still makes this country great. The reason is simple. Federal government agencies are no different than weeds. If all you do is pull off what you see but you leave the roots, they’ll grow back. And if you allow weeds to do their thing they’ll take over. We have to get entrepreneurial about government and think about it differently. The idea that we have to continue government as it’s constructed is a false premise. The reason I’m most optimistic about the incoming Trump administration as I’ve ever been for any incoming administration – including his first, is due to President Trump’s rejection of the status quo and the establishment of DOGE. It’s time to get back to this country it was founded upon. The reason why the United States went from being a rag-tag group of colonies to the world’s leading superpower in under 150 years is because our country was founded on God-given rights, and thus freedom, as opposed to government-given rights. Trivia time for you. How many government agencies do you think we had at the time of our country’s founding?
  3. This country was founded with only 5 government agencies. Now we have 430. More government equals less freedom every time. Some agencies directly erode our rights, all agencies erode our personal financial freedom because we’re forced to pay for them. Our country went its first 137 years without a permanent income tax. How much are you forced to pay today? The fact is we don’t need 430 federal government agencies. How many of those 430 agencies do you think are really operating every day to make your life better? Do you think you could do better things with your money than hundreds of government agencies you couldn’t name if your life depended on it, or do you think all of those government agencies are doing better things with your money than you could? I’ve always used this as an example. I’d be willing to bet that if we locked all 535 members of congress in a room without internet for a day, gave them all a pen and a piece of paper and had them name as many government agencies as they could, most government agencies wouldn’t be named by a simple member of congress, and yet, due to baseline budgeting, that no one actually reads, they’re funded at our literal expense. We don’t need all of those agencies. It’s a choice. The fact is we don’t need to be forced to pay a third or more of what we make in income tax. It’s a choice. We need an entrepreneurial mindset when it comes to government and in 18 days we’ll start to do it. It’s yet one more big reason why this is our year.
