- Former Senator Marco Rubio was sworn in as Secretary of State yesterday following his confirmation by the United States Senate on Monday. Former Florida AG Ashley Moody was sworn into the United States Senate to replace Rubio, as appointed by Governor DeSantis, by Vice President JD Vance last night.
- PBSO has announced a new campaign aimed at curbing the high rate of pedestrian and bicyclists collisions on the county’s roads. The sheriff’s office will increase their presence at especially dangerous intersections as part of a High Visibility Enforcement campaign. According to PBSO, Palm Beach County ranks fourth within the state for crashes involving pedestrians and bicyclists with 1,542 collisions occurring through the first 10.5 months last year resulting in 144 serious injuries and 51 deaths. Two fatal pedestrian accidents occurred last week within the county.

- Cloudy skies and showers throughout the day again today with highs in the low 60’s along the Treasure Coast to mid 60’s throughout the Palm Beaches- cooler than usual for this date. Similar weather is expected for the rest of the week. Record snowfall has been recorded in parts of the state including the all-time snowfall record for any Florida city. Pensacola has recorded 5+ inches of snow – breaking the previous record for a Florida city of 4. Isolated accounts of over 7 inches in the state have been reported.
- Gas prices dropped another two cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.14 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.30 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.16 and in Indian River County the average is $3.10 per gallon.
