Hearing To Discuss Proposed FPL-Public Counsel Settlement Postponed

FPL

A hearing that was scheduled for Tuesday to discuss a proposed settlement between FPL and the state Office of Public Counsel has been postponed to next month.

At issue is the utility's costs to restore power after Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Florida Power and Light and the agency that represents consumers in utility issues filed the proposed settlement last week with the state Public Service Commission, but the Florida Retail Federation and the Florida Industrial Power Users Group did not sign on, so the commission has delayed the hearing until July 9th.
