PBSO Warns Of Deputy Impostor Pulling Off Jury Duty Scam

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office star

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says someone is calling residents claiming to be a deputy and threatening to make an arrest because the victim has missed jury duty.

The caller says the warrant can be rectified by purchasing a gift card for various amounts of money and providing them with the numbers off the card.

Sheriff's officials say it's a scam and that PBSO employees don't call for money, personal information or jury duty.

Anyone receiving this type of call or any other things that sound like scams should report them to Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
