MSD High School Public Safety Commission Meets In Orlando

The MSD public safety commission meeting in Orlando today and tomorrow to finalize recommendations to be presented to the legislature next year. Chairman, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, says school safety has come a long way since the Parkland massacre, but there's still more work to be done. Not all Florida schools are not in compliance with laws passed post-Parkland, Gualtieri blames defiance and apathy. Broward began the school year with 30 charter schools that did not have the required guardian in place, that problem has since been resolved. The commission's next meeting is in December.
