A disabled veteran who allegedly opened fire in the emergency room at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center has been indicted.
Double amputee Larry Ray Bon, who was homeless, was brought in for a mental health evaluation under the Baker Act.
Investigators say he began screaming about cigarettes during the incident last February before firing a pistol and wounding a doctor, while grazing an ER worker.
Bon faces six criminal charges.
The facility changed their security measures just days after the shooting.
