A local middle school student faces disciplinary action after bringing a BB gun to school.

Another child at Polo Park Middle in Wellington saw the gun in a backpack Thursday and went to school staff. That's according to a robocall sent out to parents.

Principal Michael Aronson asked them to remind their children that items they may have access to at home are not necessarily appropriate to bring to school.

He said any type of weapon, real or fake, is never permitted on school grounds and that if they see something, just say something.

No word on the exact discipline the child will face.
