A man accused of ambushing and killing a police officer in Arkansas was arrested in Palm Beach County previously.
London Phillips was shot and killed by cops in Fayetteville soon after investigators say the 35-year old approached Officer Stephen Carr's cruiser on Saturday, and shot him several times at point-blank range.
Carr's death was one of three killings of police officers nationwide in a two-day period.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reports that Phillips was arrested in Lantana back in 2012 for simple assault.
Deputies had responded to a home in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress and Phillips' mother said she and her adult son had been in an argument when he whispered to her quote "I'll burn you." She ran to a neighbor's house and called 911.
