Starliner spacecraft cleared for maiden uncrewed test flight.

A flight readiness review for Boeing's Starliner spacecraft was conducted Thursday at the Cape and the uncrewed maiden Orbital Flight Test to the International Space Station is 'go' for Friday morning, December 20th, at 6:36am Eastern time.

NASA Commercial Spaceflight Development director Phil McAlister says there are still a couple of technical issues to close out-

"So we could move off the 20th but right now the 20th is looking good," McAlister said, "and we even have two additional launch opportunities with the range, on the 21st and 23rd, so hopefully we should all be getting an early Christmas present this year."

The Starliner- which will launch atop an Atlas V rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station- will eventually carry astronauts to the Space Station.
