Hundreds Of Miami-Dade Teachers Board Buses Tonight For "Rally In Tally"

South Florida Congresswomen Donna Shalala and Debbie Murcasel-Powell joining hundreds of Miami-Dade teachers tonight in Tropical Park before they board buses to "Rally In Tally" tomorrow. United Teachers of Dade President Karla Hernandez-Mats says they're happy the governor has declared this the "year of the teacher" and wants to raise starting salaries to 47-thousand-500-dollars. But, they want veteran teachers and support staff to get pay bumps as well.Florida ranks 46th in teacher pay, many classrooms lack certified teachers and charter schools have little oversight.
