Florida's March Unemployment Rate Due Out Later This Morning

Be prepared for some bad news as the state's unemployment rate for March comes out later this morning. It was only 2.8-percent in February, tying the record low with 291-thousand jobless Floridians, but that won't be the case now thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Florida International University's Jose Gabilondo says no matter what the rate is, it's probably inaccurate because of all the computer glitches with the state's unemployment website. He says Florida will have a tougher time recovering from this than the majority of state because it relies so heavily on tourism and has no state income tax to give it more of a financial cushion.
