The Army Is Looking To Hire 10,0000 People By Thursday

For the first time, the Army is turning to the internet and social media to sign 10,000 new full and part-time soldiers during a three day period that begins today.

In South Florida their goal is 300 recruits with many of the local positions tied to the medical fields.

Sgt. First Class Miguel Vicil, in Puerto Rico, says the military sets you up for the future.

Lt. Col. Nancy Clauss says before the coronavirus hit and they were forced online, South Florida was ahead of where they were last year in recruiting numbers.

South Florida based positions are tied directly to medical fields.

Health Profession Scholarship Program recipients have their entire medical or dental school covered and receive $20,000 bonuses plus monthly stipends.

Those who enlist by Thursday can qualify for up to $2,000 bonuses.
