The end of the Thanksgiving holiday usually means the beginning of Snowbird season, but not this year. Thanks to the pandemic, land crossings at the border between the U-S and Canada have been banned since March and all Canadians have been advised to avoid all non-essential travel. Bill Talbert with -the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau- says he's not worried about a down season, they're using CARES Act money to launch a new campaign called "MiamiLand" to lure domestic travelers here. He says once the COVID-19 vaccine is readily available, he expects tourists to flock to South Florida in droves.
