Sheriff Slams The Jail Door On Accused Brevard Animal Abuser

Brevard County, Fl.(Florida News Network)-Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivy proved he was a man of his word after he walked a man suspected of animal abuse into jail Wednesday live on Facebook.

The sheriff says David Fritsch left two dogs locked in the master bedroom of a home in the Canaveral Groves area for two weeks without feeding them. Both dogs died. "These poor animals were literally eating furniture and their own feces trying desperately to stay alive, and the guy did nothing to give them food, to give them water, to help them in any capacity.”

Ivy says he will personally walk anyone who hurts an animal in his county, into jail and slam the door in their face. Fritsch is now behind bars being held on $8,000 bond. He’s facing two counts of a felony animal cruelty charge. Watch Sheriff Ivey walk Fritsch into jail in the video below.
