Miami's Former Fired Police Chief Sues City And Three Commissioners

Miami's fired former police chief suing the city and three commissioners claiming they violated his First Amendment rights and retaliated against him for calling out corruption. Commissioner Manolo Reyes says Art Acevedo's claims are absolutely untrue. Acevedo claims the commissioners participated in illegal and unethical activity by interfering in internal excessive use of force investigations and retaliated against him by eliminating the budget for high-level police positions. He was let go in October after just six months on the job.
