Florida law enforcement urging parents to tell their kids to be up front with them when they receive some sort of threat at school.
"Tell them 'Hey, even if you think it's crazy let me be the judge of it. Let me act upon it.' No one will ever know what parent or what kids forwarded that information to us."
St. Lucie County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Brian Hester says a 15-year old girl was arrested on Thursday for sending what he called "dark, sexually explicit threats" by phone to several students at Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce.
The threats included what Hester said appeared to be a list of targets.
None of the students told anyone. A parent who saw the threats once they had been shared on Snapchat called 911 to report it.
Hester reminds everyone that the anniversary of the Parkland school shooting is coming up on February 14th, and that could mean more threats.
The suspect in this case, a 9th grade student, is out of class and facing a second degree felony.
