An impounded car leads to the arrest of a South Florida man on child porn charges.
45-year-old Andrew Wayne Vivadelli was arrested this week after a lengthy investigation that started when a thumb drive was found in his Ford Focus, which had been towed away from a Boynton Beach apartment complex over the summer.
The owners of Big City Towing waited the required 35 days for the vehicle to be claimed and then started clearing it out to sell it for scrap metal.
Authorities say that thumb drive contained images of naked children and videos of juvenile females engaged in sexual activity. The towing company owners say they viewed the drive in case their was any personal information or family photos to give back to the vehicle owner, and then contacted the Sheriff's Office.
Vivadelli faces 30 counts of child porn possession.
