Man kills mom because 'she never pushed me to be a man'

Osceola County, FL - A 21-year-old Florida man accused of killing his mother told authorities the reason he stabbed her to death was because "she never pushed me to be a man."

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 21-year-old Matthew Stewart Sisley on Tuesday after responding to a reported stabbing at a Kissimmee home.

Responding officers discovered a woman stabbed to death and another with severe cuts to her hands.

Authorities identified Sisley as the person responsible for the stabbings and took him into custody a short distance from the scene.

Sisley confessed to intentionally stabbing his mother and accidentally stabbing his sister.

Detectives asked Sisley if he believed his mother deserved to die, to which Sisley said yes, because "she never pushed me to be a man."

Sisley was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Additional charges are expected.
