Florida Senator Marco Rubio Reintroduces Sunshine Protection Act

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is making yet another attempt to make Daylight Saving Time permanent.

Last year's version of the Sunshine Protection Act passed the Senate unanimously, but it never made it to the floor for a vote in the House.

Today Rubio announced he's reintroduced the Sunshine Protection Act, which would end the practice of changing clocks two times a year.

Rubio calls the ritual "stupid."

Florida Congressman Vern Buchanan has introduced a companion bill in the House.

Daylight Saving Time begins on March 12th.
