Today is "Ron Magill Day" in Miami-Dade. Magill, the larger-than-life communications director and "voice" of Zoo Miami, is retiring Sunday after 46 years of service. He says all credit goes to the zookeepers, custodial, maintenance and horticultural staff along with the administrators. Magill will continue being a Goodwill Ambassador and focus on his Zoo Miami Foundation conservation initiatives.
