PBC Animal Care & Control Offers Free Cat Adoptions

If you've been considering bringing a new furry friend into your home, this weekend is the "purr-fect" time.

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is waiving the adoption fee for cats and kittens through Sunday at its shelter in suburban West Palm Beach.  There is also a "name your price" adoption event for all dogs, meaning you could save as much as $75 per animal.

All pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, have a current county license tag and you'll get a health care certificate worth $500 in savings for your new pet.

The shelter is open until 6 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.  It's on Belvedere Road, just west of the Turnpike.

You can view pets up for adoption here.
