On the heels of a report in Forbes Monday that Miami businessman Jorge Mas had an agreement to purchase the Miami Marlins from Jeffrey Loria, come two more reports about the potential sale of the team.
The New York Post reported Tuesday that Derek Jeter is now in a group that includes NBA legend Michael Jordan and Florida money manager Bruce Sherman, among others. That group is said to be offering around $1.2 billion. The Mas deal was reportedly for $1.17 billion.
The Miami Herald reports that Jeb Bush, Tagg Romney, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis and rapper Pitbull have formed a group with others to make an offer on the team.
