Florida's Back to School Sales Tax Holiday gets underway at 12:01 a.m. Friday, and runs until 11:59 p.m. Sunday night. Just as last year's holiday, it's 3 days, rather than the 10 days in years past.
One change from last year benefits anyone looking to purchase a computer or computer accessories for personal use. While those were on the list of sales tax-exempt items back in 2015, they were not last year.
The holiday is on computers selling for $750 or less. Clothing, shoes and accessories selling at or under $60 each, and school supplies for $15 or less are also exempt.
