The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday night an arrest in the weekend ambush of a deputy.
27-year old Gerlo Ulysse is expected to make his first court appearance Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon.
Ulysse is accused of flagging down the unnamed deputy, claiming to be in need of help, luring him down an alleyway in Lake Worth early Sunday morning. The man then allegedly struck the deputy on his face with a sharp object.
The deputy was treated and released.
A $5,000 reward was offered in the case.
