Boynton Beach Police Department Honors "Harley"

Harley - Boynton Beach Police Therapy Dog

For "Protecting the Palm Beaches," we join the Boynton Beach Police Department in honoring "Harley," the agency's therapy dog.

A one-year anniversary celebration was held for "Harley" on Thursday.  She was presented with a cake from the Woof Gang Bakery.

The department says over the past year, the dog was there to provide comfort to the family of a 20-year old man who committed suicide and she kept a young child happy by playing with the boy who had been involved in a parental abduction, keeping his mind busy until investigators could determine that he belonged in his grandmother's custody.

"Harley" has assisted the Special Victims Unit in more than 50 cases and attends community events like Coffee with a Cop nd the grand opening of the city's new dog park.
