The Palm Beach County chapter of the Salvation Army is sending a team to areas of Texas affected by Harvey.
A team of volunteers is heading there Monday, along with a mobile kitchen, able to prepare food and serve up to 1,500 people per day. More than 130 volunteers are ready to help in relief efforts.
Volunteers with the American Red Cross of Palm Beach and Martin Counties are also preparing to head to areas effected by Harvey.
Governor Rick Scott has dispatched 25 officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, along with two Mobile Command Centers and a number of boats to help with rescue efforts in Houston. FWC is also sending 17 high-water vehicles.
The governor in a statement said that "Floridians know first-hand how damaging a storm can be for families and communities and how important it is to have the support of nearby states."
Scott is also asking all Floridians who can help to send support to Texas.
