CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Department of Children and Families has teamed up to hire 350 workers to help Palm Beach County residents who qualify for the Disaster Food Assistance Program in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The program assists those who aren't currently getting food stamps, but who are now financially struggling since the storm.
Workers will be paid $10 to $15 per hour for the temporary positions and they'll be assigned to one of three areas:
John Prince Park in Lake Worth, Lake Ida Park in Delray Beach or Glades Pioneer Park in Belle Glade.
How to apply:
1. Attend one of the following registration/information sessions:
· Delray Beach Library, 100 W. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach; Monday Oct. 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
· John Prince Park, Recreation Complex/Gymnasium, 2728 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth; Tuesday Oct. 10, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
· West Tech Center, 2625 State Hwy 715, Belle Glade; Monday Oct. 9, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
2. Submit your resume to the staff at the registration/information session.
3. Register as a job seeker at www.employflorida.com <http://www.employflorida.com> either before or at the session.4. Those selected will be contacted by phone to complete the hiring process and report to work at one of the following Disaster Food Assistance Program application centers from Oct. 17 to Oct. 21:

· Lake Ida Park, Ibis Pavilion, 1455 Lake Ida Road, Delray Beach
