PBSO Deputy & His New "Junior Deputy"

Corporal Jeffrey Yerian and Angel

The stories keep coming of Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputies going above and beyond the call of duty after Hurricane Irma, and some of the residents who showed their appreciation...like a 7-year old boy named Angel.

He approached Corporal Jeffrey Yerian while the deputy was on a call.  The boy wanted to know if he could draw a picture and Jeffrey said "yes."  Angel soon after brought over a drawing of two deputies and thanked him for his service.  Corporal Yerian asked Angel for his autograph and swore the child in as a junior deputy, even giving him a special badge.

Jeffrey says it made his night and points out that even during a state of emergency, while in the middle of making several arrests, there were still citizens that appreciate their hard work and are thankful to have our law enforcement officers.

Corporal Yerian made 6 arrests over a three-day period.
