Food stamps are being made available to victims of Hurricane Irma.
The program will be in Palm Beach County this week.
The benefits are for Floridians who suffered a disaster-related loss because of the storm and who meet certain income requirements. They are not available for anyone who currently gets food stamps.
The amount of aid is based on family size, income and amount of damage. The Department of Children and Families says the typical family of four could get as much as $1,300.
Sign-ups begin on Tuesday at John Prince Park in Lake Worth, Lake Ida West Park in Delray Beach and Glades Pioneer Park in Belle Glade. They'll run through Saturday.
More than 50,000 people showed up in Miami Sunday to sign-up for the assistance.
Police had to shut down assistance centers in Broward over the weekend after people waiting outdoors in long lines suffered from heat exhaustion.
