If you're hot this summer, imagine having fur.
The animals being cared for at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter could use some box fans to keep them cool and the non-profit's executive director is reaching out to the public for donations.
Amy Kight says some of the animals, including the foxes, have fans, but the skunks, bears and panthers do not. She says six enclosures in all could use some cool air.
Kight is asking for the kind of 20-inch box fans that you can find at Walmart, Target or the home improvement stores. She specifies box fans because they circulate the air well without being overly noisy to disturb the animals.
Fans may be dropped off at the sanctuary Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
