The folks at the Police Athletic League of West Palm Beach are getting ready to give the kids served by the non-profit a great meal and a great time for Thanksgiving.
"It's our Gobble 'til You Wobble Thanksgiving Feast with a Side of Fun. The kids are going to be there all day, all of our PAL kids are invited."
Program Director Jonathan Taylor tells us the event on Saturday will feature members of the West Palm Beach Police Department serving the meals.
"We have our brass and some of our officers, Chief of Police, some of the assistant chiefs and lieutenants, they come out so the kids really enjoy having some of the higher-ups come and serve them and really interact with them."
The Police Athletic League works with kids ages 4 to 18 in sports and other activities, giving teens a place to go after-school to stay out of trouble.
As for the Thanksgiving event, Jonathan says donations of water, juice and other food items are always welcome.
The event is being held at the PAL's facility at 720 N. Tamarind Avenue in West Palm Beach.
