If you still have Christmas gifts to buy, plan on a really busy time at local stores.
The Florida Retail Federation says many folks have realized they are too late to have something shipped and now have to head out to the brick and mortar stores and finish up their lists.
The Saturday before Christmas is known as "Super Saturday" and is considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
Local malls have longer hours in effect right now.
There are a number of stores that will be increasing their hours in the lead up to Christmas to cater to procrastinators. Kohl’s, for example, is open 24 hours until 6 p.m. on Monday, Christmas Eve, when they will close for the holiday.
K-Mart stores in Lantana and Boca Raton will remain open until 10 p.m.
