Scam Of The Week: Fake SunPass Bills May Wind Up In Your Inbox

SunPass is warning customers about a scam targeting drivers with past-due bills.

Third parties have been contacting them by email, warning them to make old toll payments within 30 days, or they'll be taken to court.

The scammers are aware of a recent announcement from SunPass that they will be sending out bills for tolls that were not yet billed, but incurred last year.

SunPass says it only sends official toll notices through the U.S. Postal Service and not email.  They also say that any bills you do receive for old tolls that were first flagged by the SunPass system won't be due until March.
