If you have teens who might be interested in a future in law enforcement the Boynton Beach Police Department reminds you that the deadline to sign them up for its Teen Police Academy is Monday.
The week-long summer camp begins July 29th and is open to kids ages 14 to 16.
They'll learn about firearm safety, the dangers of traffic stops and take field trips. The goal of the camp is to increase an understanding between the youth in the community and their local police officers.
The cost of the program is $100 and includes a T-shirt, ball cap, sports bag and lunch throughout the week. Payment is required at the time of registration and refundable until July 1.
