A former Miami Dolphins linebacker could be heading to the Hall of Fame.
Zach Thomas was among 15 players announced Thursday night as modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
In his 12 seasons with Miami, Thomas made it to seven Pro Bowls. If chosen, he would become the 11th Dolphins member elected to the Hall of Fame.
Other players on the list of finalists from Florida teams include former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Safety John Lynch and former Jacksonville Jaguars Tackle Tony Boselli.
Other finalists include Rams Wide Receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, Colts Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne and Running Back Edgerrin James, both University of Miami graduates, and longtime Pittsburgh Steelers Safety Troy Polamalu.
The finalists will be cut to 5 and the inductees will be announced one day before the Super Bowl in Miami next month.
