The First Publix To Open On A College Campus Debuts At USF

Publix Super Market

Students living on campus at the University of South Florida won't have to travel far to buy groceries.

The first Publix to open on a college campus is at USF in Tampa.  The store opened Thursday.

It's slightly smaller than most other Publix stores, at 28,000 square feet.  The university is leasing the property to the supermarket chain for 25 years.
