STUART, Fla. (CBS12) —Health officials in Martin County are expected to give an update on the number of Hepatitis A cases in the area hit hardest by an outbreak.
Early Monday, the numbers stand at 29 cases spanning several counties.

So far, three people from Palm City have died as a result of the disease.
Friday, CBS12 News spoke with the brother of one of the victims, Ned Kirsch, who flew in from Vermont to attend a funeral. He died hours after we spoke with him, which was several days after the funeral.
Overnight, CBS12 News learned the Vermont Health Department is working with the Martin County Health Department to investigate what happened.
The reason for Kirsch's death has not been confirmed.
Doctors say the best way to prevent Hepatitis A is to get the vaccine and wash hands thoroughly.
