Assessment and recovery operations are underway for any impacts in Palm Beach County from Hurricane Nicole.

 

Evacuations

As of 10:30 A.M., the evacuation order has been lifted.

 

Shelters

The total number of individuals who stayed at shelters overnight was 515. 

 

Palm Beach County School District

After carefully reviewing all campuses and District buildings, Palm Beach County School District will reopen tomorrow, Friday November 11, 2022.

Palm Tran

Palm Tran fixed-route, Palm Tran Connection and Go Glades will return to regular service at Noon today, Thursday, November 10, 2022. The service may experience some delays throughout the day. We appreciate your patience. Thank you for riding Palm Tran and continue to be safe.

 

Bridges

Effective immediately, all bridges are to resume normal operations throughout the region. It will take time for crews to put signals and barriers back in place.

 

Port of Palm Beach

The port will reopen for landside operations at 8 A.M. Thursday, November 10th. Tenants are asked to inspect and clean-up your terminals as soon as you return to the Port. Trucks are permitted to deliver and pick-up cargo starting at 8 A.M. Safety inspections of the channel need to be conducted before the resumption of vessel traffic.

 

Airport

As of 8 A.M. today, the PBIA terminal is open. Many airlines are planning to resume operations. Please check with your airline for specific flight details.

 

Tri Rail

Tri Rail has determined that it will remained closed Thursday, and services will resume Friday. 

 

Brightline

Brightline resumed regular operations on Thursday, Nov. 10, including Brightline+ service and Buzzer Beater trains. The latest train schedule can be viewed at www.gobrightline.com. We will continue to monitor the storm in case additional service changes are necessary.

 

Solid Waste Authority

The SWA anticipates opening all disposal facilities on Thursday, Nov. 10. All Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County offices and facilities opened at 10 A.M. Thursday, Nov. 10. Collection in unincorporated Palm Beach County will resume tomorrow with regular service. There will be no makeup day for residents who missed collection service Wednesday, Nov. 9.

 

Residents should place all garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulk waste curbside by 6 A.M. as usual. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of high winds and rain and use their best judgment with placing items at the curb.

 

Animal Care and Control

PBC Animal Care and Control will be closed Friday for Veterans Day and will reopen on Saturday, November 12.

Parks and Recreation

Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department staff are preparing general park areas and campgrounds for reopening at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 10. Facilities, groomed ball fields, Juno Pier, Peanut Island Park, Riverbend Park and Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park will remain closed until Friday.
