The late President George Herbert Walker Bush is being praised as a great family man, friend and devoted public servant. During a state memorial service at Washington's National Cathedral yesterday, former President George W. Bush fought back tears as he said his father was the best dad anyone could ever have. Bush also said his father looked for the good in every person and most of the time, found it.
Bush gets choked up near the end of the 12 minute speech, as he refers to the 41stPresident as “the best father a son or daughter could have.”
He wraps up the eulogy by saying “in our grief, let us smile knowing that Dad is hugging Robin and holding Mom’s hand again.” Robin Bush was the younger sister of George W. Bush, who died as a small child from Leukemia.
