By lunchtime, a new governor will have taken office in Florida.
Ron DeSantis addressed reporters in Tallahassee yesterday and just as he noted in an open letter to residents, he pledged to move quickly. DeSantis says that tomorrow he will make an appointment to fill the first of three vacancies on the Florida Supreme Court that come with the mandatory retirement of Justices Barbara Pariente, Fred Lewis and Peggy Quince.
The incoming governor also says he will quickly address the state's water issues.
The man whom DeSantis is replacing, Rick Scott, will be sworn into the U.S. Senate today.
