The parents of three Parkland school shooting victims will attend tonight's State of the Union address.
Andrew Pollack will be a guest of Republican Senator Rick Scott. Pollack lost his daughter Meadow in the tragedy.
Palm Beach County Democrat Congressman Ted Deutch has invited Manny Oliver, whose son Joaquin was killed last Valentine's Day.
Also, Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jamie was murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, will be a guest of Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Other guests of area lawmakers include Kim Churches. She is CEO of the American Association of University Women. Churches will be the guest of Palm Beach County Democrat Congresswoman Lois Frankel.
Florida’s other Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio will have a Venezuelan exile as his special guest at the State of the Union. Carlos Vecchio has been named a diplomatic official by the country’s new self-proclaimed President Juan Guaido. Vecchio is an attorney and co-founder of the Venezuelan opposition party.
The State of the Union address begins at 9 pm and you can hear it live on News Radio 1290 WJNO.
