President Trump says America must not squander its inheritance.
Delivering the annual State of the Union address last night, Trump talked of the "blood and tears and courage and vision of the Americans who came before." He said the country's leaders must "choose whether we are defined by our differences, or whether we dare to transcend them."
Trump also touted his accomplishments, including the passage of the First Step Act, a major reform of the criminal justice system.
The measure changed sentencing laws that punish non-violent drug offenders. The President said it has disproportionately impacted the African-American community.
