Some of the world's most noted churches are standing in solidarity with the people of Paris as they come to terms with the partial loss of the Notre Dame cathedral.
Bells tolled yesterday at Westminster Abbey in London, St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the University of Notre Dame campus.
British Prime Minister Theresa May says church bells will toll across all of England tomorrow and also vowed that the UK will help rebuild the iconic Paris cathedral.
Parts of the famous landmark were destroyed in Monday's blaze, which officials say was probably an accident that occurred during renovations.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron pledges Notre Dame will be rebuilt within five years. In a television address, Macron said yesterday that the French will reflect and then act, but the people must come together.
But some experts say that is an unrealistic timeline.
