9/11 Memorial Ceremonies In Palm Beach County

9-11 Memorial Etched into a Large Round Granite Rock

There will be a number of 9/11 remembrance ceremonies throughout Palm Beach County today on this 18th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks.

The Palm Beach County School District will honor 38 school police officers who were 9/11 first responders at a ceremony beginning at the district headquarters at 8:45 a.m.

Special memorial ceremonies are scheduled on all of Palm Beach State College’s campuses. A moment of silence will occur at 11 a.m.

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center will host a “Never Forget” display in memory of the lives lost on 9/11 and to honor the first responders on site and the servicemembers who served during the Global War On Terror. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon. All veterans and their families are invited.

The Village of Wellington is holding a ceremony at Wellington's Patriot Memorial on Forest Hill Boulevard tonight at 6 p.m. The Village Council will make remarks and lay a wreath for those lost and affected by the attacks. The Palm Beach Central High School Choir will take part in the event.
