Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney was grilled by Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday about a few topics.
The 15 minute interview wrapped up with Wallace asking him about the president's change of plans with regard to next year's G-7 Summit. President Trump over the weekend said he no longer plans to hold the event at his Trump National Doral in Miami, blaming the "irrational hostility" of the media and Democrats.
Mulvaney said the president was surprised by the level of push back to hosting the summit at the resort bearing his name.
In first choosing Trump National last week, Pres. Trump said it would be offered at no profit or zero cost if legally possible, something he said in a Tweet over the weekend that the media ignored.
Mulvaney was also pressed about his own comments last Thursday which were reported as him meaning there was a "quid pro quo" involved in holding back aid to Ukraine.
He denies that there was any such "quid pro quo" and pointed out that he did not use those words.
