PBSO Deputy Holds Baby Girl After Parents Abandon Her Following A Car Crash

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office star

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office shared a photo on Facebook of a deputy holding a one and a half year old girl, who had been left alone in the back of a vehicle after her parents crashed the car and fled the scene.

The post reads that Corporal Campbell found the child unsecured and held her during the two-hour investigation, to keep her calm and warm.

It says the deputy's caring demeanor was apparently soothing to her as she eventually fell asleep on his shoulder.

The girl was transported by fire rescue and turned over to DCF.
