California On Lockdown Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The governor of California is calling on everyone in the state to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic. 

Gavin Newsom issued a statewide stay-at-home order yesterday, claiming that over half of the people in California could be infected with the virus, which could result in thousands of hospitalizations.

Services and businesses that have been deemed “essential”, such as gas stations, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks and laundromats, will be allowed to stay open.
