Passage Of Stimulus Bill On Hold As Parties Disagree

The Senate will try again today to pass a coronavirus aid package. 

The massive bill did not get enough votes last night to clear a procedural hurdle. 

Democrat leaders have signaled they have concerns with the bill. 

The measure would provide payments of $1,200 for many individuals, with more for each child in a family. 

One of the issues making passage of a bill tougher is that 5 Senate Republicans are self-quarantining either because they have tested positive for COVID-19 (Rand Paul) or had contact with those who had.
