Barr: "I Don't Agree There's Systemic Racism" In Law Enforcement

Attorney General William Barr told Congress yesterday that he doesn't believe police departments are systemically racist, pushing back against Democrats' justification for implementing sweeping police reforms, including defunding law enforcement, in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

Barr was testifying before the House Judiciary Committee, where he also defended his actions, amid criticism from Democrats. The AG insisted that he is an independent attorney general.
